Ah, perhaps I'm just not familiar with such decks. I'm kinda sick of green creatures being on this list so much (my green category is quite a bit larger than any of the others). But I'll add this last one anyway...

I think there are several other factors which are probably bigger influences, but I think part of it is... People are used to playing with artifacts a lot now, thanks to the last block.

I posted one earlier on this page, but I haven't looked into it after posting. The mana base is fairly generic for a W/R deck and might benefit from some tweaking. Also I never tested the deck at all, but I think it's a start...

I think Phage and Phyrexian Dreadnought are very good for this, but maybe I'm just too used to stupid Ninja Mask in Vintage...

Okay, so Hinder isn't the total crap that Spell Blast is, but as Rooser points out, there are better counterspells for the same price... Oh well, at least it is better against Flashback spells, I suppose, although that's not normally enough merit to actually run it in casual decks. Plus...

Yeah, I can see how one would not notice it was a joke. Unless one is actually looking for a signs that it is not serious (or particularly adept at detecting them), they can be hard to spot. I assumed it was serious myself, since people have weird hobbies and I didn't remain on the page for long...
