Not really a contest, but...

Below is the attached template for a Have Fun comic containing the characters "Optyclops" and "Mr. Korea" (now you know why I never really say their names in the comics).

If you want to have some fun trying out making a comic via dialogue, come up with dialogue/captions/lines for each panel of, then post them up typed out. If anything really cool comes out of this I will put your text and the template together into a Have Fun strip credited to you.

Eye - *Whimpering...* But we were so close... Black and Blue are like MaRo and Buehler!

Eye - *Whimpering...* I can't, my world is being taken from me without warning, I feel like a WOTC product consumer!!!... *Wailing*
Guy - *Getting Angry...* They also took Moxen, Lotus, and that hot chick - Hasran Ogress - #$%&%#^*&$# WOTC!!!...

Gonna be hard to pick a winner.

...Oh yeah, plus this time, at the end, I'm gonna be posting up what concept I had with this when I was piecing it together.

I could send them their choice of the casual rares you sent me last year... the cards could be used for this since it appears that a writer's contest won't happen anytime soon :)

Sounds like a good idea. I had a different idea, involving FedEx and a crate containing three live pigs and a jar of butter...but hey, your idea sounds like more fun. ;)

I don't even remember what the cards were, just that there were a few "packs", like a "Chaos pack" and "Unglued pack" and I think maybe a "Kavu pack" or something. Maybe winner gets their choice of which pack they want. Could ya post them all?

Panel One: At first, while Alpha roamed, one island was sufficient because of the Moxen.

Panel Two: Alas, a time fell, and then two islands were required for the protection of Counter Spell.

Panel Three: Now THREE islands arn't even enough. Damn this sucks!

guy - I can't even look straight at them anymore! It's just wrong!...

guy- I think Roseanne Barr paid a certain someone off, so she could run Borg ships in her decks!!!... That @$^@##$^!!!...

Four submissions, all funny. Hard to make a choice, but in the end, I went with the one that involved both characters in the frames, as well as being succinct enough to fit in said frames. And the winner is.........
