I personally fall into the Red beatdownish category, Fireblast is the best spell ever!

I can easily fit betwixt any of those two catagories, though mostly I'm a pink mage. :D You though Momma was annoying before...wait till she starts escorting Cutthroats and Shivans through your back yard.
Firey death+White Weenies+Serras+Shivans+Plateaus!=the only deck I've kept more than three months.

Basicly, I play bimodal decks, half early game board control, half late game bombs. Works for me...sorta... :p

...the more I think about it, I can't make a deck without a 6cc+ fattie in it...

The best deck I have is black beat down. It's great, often times giving me a turn 4 or 5 kill. Most games go like this:

Turn 1: swamp, ritual, hidden horror, Toss huge creature (avatar of woe, sliver queen, crosis)
Turn 2: swamp, animate dead.

So, I'd have to say black beatdown definitly.

I'd say I'm mostly in the red beatdown slot, but I'd like to branch out a bit more. Like...I dunno...green beatdown.

I'm not really any of the choices but since there's no Other...

I guess the closest would be Red Lockdown.

How is Green Lockdown different from Green Beatdown? All you're doing is putting out a fat creature quicker. You're still beating 'em down...

There have been many good green control decks in the past. For example, stupid green with spikes and wildebeasts and the hermit and plow under thingy out of Urzas Block.

The advantage of green as a control colour is that you can easily get the mana to do crazy things that other colours just wouldn't bother with. Desert twister is the best removal in the game if you've got the mana to cast it!

Still, I'm probably white beats but I often add another colour to protect my efficient but small creatures. Conutersliver is probably my favourate deck.

Sidar: I agree with that; I was just saying that perhaps the poll description of Green Lockdown is a tad inaccurate :)

I love black lockdown AND black beatdown. and I am NOT satanic. I prefer the term "religiously disfigured".

Me? I'm in the green lockdown section, I love combos such as Nameda, Grove Guardian, Thicket Elemental, Saporling burst, and Fires of Yavimaya even though I currently do not play with the Nameda, Grove Guardian in my fires deck, I still am good.

Riva - Your mercs are as nothing compared to mine! ;)

Spidey - maximum of 10 categories I'm afraid, so that was the best I could do. I figured two speeds of each color would do better than trying to have everyone post their reply and figure it out that way.

I'm upsetting, I'm between blue lockdown and green beatdown. Don't ask me how you can be both, when they're near opposites (Utility vs. kill) but I am. Ask anyone. Ask Zadok, he knows me.

I like Green. Beatdown is cool but my favorite green deck was one that used Recycle and Summer Bloom to keep drawing cards and playing more and more land, Fervor to give your creatures haste, and Nature's Revolt to make your lands 2/2 creatures. Basically I took a five minute turn, used a buttload of mana (Llanowar Druid was a great help), put out a lot of land and then killed my opponent with it while they sat there looking at me strange and trying to figure out just what in the heck I was planning on doing with all that land.

I remain
The Baron
Although as far as green's concerned, nothing's cooler than using Oath of Druids to pop out a third turn Baron Sengir ...

Red Lockdown is my favorite...
Black Lockdown and Black Beatdown are some of my favorites strategies as well.

Baron: That's what think of with Green Lcokdown (as there isn't much utility) - they're forced to watch you play 20 permanents with Recycle and Vernal Blooms and so forth on two separate occasions per game. Then they take 379, due mostly to two Vitalizing Winds and a Squirrel Wrangler.
