Personally, I don't think it is necessary, but it doesn't really offend me per se, either. I certainly wouldn't want it to become commonplace around here, though, so just use discretion and it shouldn't get out of hand.

Why is it others make more sense than I do?...

Next time - before I say something... I'll ask you all what I should say...

EB's words just sounded more... better than mine...

"Take that you crazy old English instructor from 7th grade..."

Look like porn?!

Oh well, I said it when that neat little new artwork for Serra Angel was out, as well as the front cover for Inquest's spin on the new artwork. I said it when they started Poke'mon, and then again when Yu-Gi-Oh! started:

"Drug dealers have the best form of advertisement to them, even though their product is illegal, it still sells. But cards are worlds away in the sense that nobody can really be addicted to the game, so card dealers (aka cardboard crack dealers) start adding provocative pictures to their cards to entice their older crowd, while placing a craze into the younger buyers with TV shows, and other such items"

Magic at least has always had "provocative" art, starting with the original Serra Angel... they didn't "start adding" it...

I can see the original Serra as more provocative than the newer version...

but I don't know that at that point WoTC tried to have provocative art...

The game was barely known, an dI'm sure thye took whatever art they could to provide a picture for a card... They were probably in a hurry to get to print, and it was not something they looked at...

Though nowadays you see skulls, guts, and blood - so what's worse the "porn" or the gore?...

I don't think they were "trying" for provocative art either, but they wanted/used fantasy art and that's "bold" by nature...

When playing fantasy games - I imagine a lot of things, but not in the depiction a lot of artists take them to be...

and trust me - their images are more detailed...

but I do like the way the fantasy art has evolved with Magic... though I wish they'd bring back the cartoon drawings like dwarven thaumaturgist...

Right on the head, there, Spidey. From the very beginning the game was heavily inspired by D&D, with all its bikini amazon warriors. You know, like that girl in the pic I posted. Supposedly, she is gonna survive a battle where a bunch of sharp weapons and huge trolls and orcs are involved. How likely is that.

Put on some metal armor, girls. Leather straps are out this season...

She probably has a Necklace of Warding and Bracers of Protection.... plus the armor is Leather +5... :p

It might even be sheen wyvern skin...

but you don't see many characters depicted wearing armor of the massive type... those usually hit the male characters...

Maybe WoTC needs to implement more "pictures" of men characters that would attrat more female players to the scene...

Definately! More speedos and Chip N Dales cards! Ew...

But it would certainly be fair. They should go that way. As I know nobody wants the other way...buff women in big armor so you don't see their faces or any skin.

Heh...so much for reality. This is a fantasy game though.

...ON WITH THE FANTASY WANNABE-PORN, YOU SICK FREAKS
