Now maybe it's just me, but this review is one of the worst one's I've ever read. Come on, who could honestly think that Life Burst is the best constructed card in white from Odyssey? Especially when he's saying Pianna,Nomad Captain, Devoted Caretaker, and Devine Sacrament are bad.

I don't know the blue cards as well, so I don't want to judge his review of them too much, but I can tell you that Aether Burst is certainly better than Life Burst, regardless of what he says. That, and he misses the entire point of Amugaba's ability.

I hate it when people do this, the same thing happened with Mercadian Masques, and it wasn't a bad set either. Some people are just never happy.

I do not like Sorcery-speed card drawing, Sam I Am.

This review just doesn't make sense, I mean there are way more than 8 constructed worthy spells between white and blue, and I think Zadok's being nice this guy's mind-boggingly dumb.

I mean he totally missed the point of the discard a card spells that help you get to threshold faster, not to mention Amugaba and Balshan Griffin, as Mogg Bomber mentioned.

The only reason I agree with him on any card is that I don't like a couple of them and he bashes every single one of them.

I also noticed that the site was looking for featured writers, coincidence, I think not.

Yep, he misses all of the points. He is also a bit overzealous about Life Burst. It's not that good. If you don't have enough business cards, you'll be dead before you can cast the second one.

I have an interesting question. Why does everyone say that Wayward Angel turns into a Lord of the Pit? I don't remember Lord of the Pit not tapping to attack.

Well, it doesn't turn DIRECTLY into a Lord of the Pit. Lord of the Pit also didn't have the text "If you have less than 7 cards in your graveyard, ~foo~ gets -3/-3, becomes white, and loses its upkeep cost." But it's SO close...

But back on topic, this guy is certifiable. He likes Lifeburst and Careful study. While they have powerful effects, I believe there are FAR superior options in Type 2 (perhaps not anything directly better than Lifeburst, but lifegain ain't too hot anyways). Sleight of Hand and Opt both out do Careful Study. I also find it intersting that Careful Study is great while the creature that taps for it is bad. A very odd man, this fellow.

"Yes, the straightjacket is on order. Please allow 6-12 weeks for delivery."

What a moron.

Just shows the danger of free press and the internet. Anyone with the ability to type, upload, and a biased outlook of a particular topic can subject others to their own close-mindedness. Negativity does not pass as reinforcement to a point. Grade F journalism and grade F Magic creativity.

To quote a now-famous cartoon character that comes on before Jonny Bravo(HOO-HAA!):

You're Stuuuuupid
Yes. That sums up Mr. Kaos well.

Kaos. Could it be any more obvious? As a humour article, I could see this getting print... serious article?

Sadly, I can see this getting print... But not under my watch-- Here, at least.

However, I do believe that Life Burst has serious potential as a freaky "save my ass like Gerrard use to" card in a HEAVY control deck built around just frickin' killing by milling.

Threshold? I counter it.

Ditto Flashback.

Then again, I STILL like Grollub, a.k.a. Kenny.

And Bullwhip. :D

I didn't read it, but if this guy is open to "construcutive criticism", maybe he can learn. I mean, you gotta start somewhere... didn't Friggin' Rizzo write about this kind of thing a while back? About how there's not many new writers or something?

You're now giving me the impression that you AREN'T talking about the 7th review... Why do I get the feeling I get to look like an idiot again?

*grins* no, he's not.

Rizzo wrote an article a while back about how few new writers there were, because they got discouraged and gave up early, I think..

Don't worry, Zad. I was thinking the 7th review too....

Okay hold on. Let's clear this up.

I was talking about what Duel's talking about. In fact, I think someone here posted a link when it was first on Star City.

Is Zadok referring to that 7th review by Rizzo which was obviously humor (and which also someone linked to here)?

Are we now on the same page? :)
