Well, well, well, I smell a lack of randomness.....

Just an update on how I'm doing.

I graduated this past May and will be working on my graduate degree (again in vocal performance) at Middle Tennessee State University. I will also be a graduate assistant (MONEY, BABY, MONEY!!!!!!!!).

Can't say that I've played too much Magic recently. This whole Kami-gawa cycle kinda turned me off of the game. Didn't care for it too much.

Anyway, that's how I've been, how has everybody else been?

I've been alright, personally. I'm mostly into Magic Online nowdays, as I still cannot locate gainful employment. Bleech. Mississippi Sucks.

I've enjoyed Kamigawa Block, myself. Well put together, and nothing other than Jitte is inherently broken. I wish I could see you on Magic Online sometime... actually, PM me if you're interested in trying it out...

Congratulations on your evidently successful college career, Ransac.

I'm doing fine out here in the desert between the mountains. Looking forward to moving into my new apartment in less than 2 weeks. After that, I should be back online full-time within the month (or mid-September at the latest). Also looking forward to wasting prodigious amounts of time, but hopefully not too much cash, on MTGOL.

Still haven't played real-life Magic this year... just on the forums. Now that Azreal put in an appearance, maybe I can get over with his group.

Yeah... but I can get away more with getting time to play Magic IRL than spending on the computer... :)

You can always ask for cards as gifts... that's what I do (although it's often not granted :) )

I can't justify asking for Magic Cards as gifts anymore when I could ask for things that I need (a.k.a. Money for school/books, clothes, sheet music, nice clothes, etc). And my parents already take care of my car insurance.

Clarifying: This school year will be the first year that I try to support myself (through Financial Aid and my assistantship/work study). The ONLY thing that my parents are helping me with is car insurance....... and that's due to the fact that it's part of their insurance account and if I'm ever late on a payment, it affects their credit. So, everytime that I see something that I WANT to pay, I have to think "Is this something that I NEED". Normally, the only fun things that I let myself buy are Classical music CD's or the sheet music for songs I'm looking at.

ARGH!!!!!!!!!! I'M GROWING UP!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! DON'T LET IT HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!

But that's the whole point of a gift... to get something that you don't need. That's why I hate getting clothes as presents.

*Little did Ransac know that it was an image in a mirror that he was hitting, not the real Spiderman. The mirror shatters and glass shards get stuck in Ransac's body.

Well crap.

I know that gifts can be something you don't need, but I find it easier on myself financially to just ask for something that I won't have to spend money on later.
