But if you don't play in Warhammer tournaments where you need to have the most current models (basically their "Standard" format), you can just get models once and use them. It's a bit of an expense in the beginning, but really, no more than buying a box of each Magic expansion as it comes out.
yeah i estimate i've spent around 1000 dollars on all my CCG habits combined.
i'm playing orks for 40k, and will have spent 350-400 dollars on it by the begining of the year and i will be done with the entire thing and never have to buy a model in my life again unless they re-relesease the army i play or i decide to play another army.
i will have spent so much because, in ignorance, baught the battle force when all i ended up using from it would have cost me 25 bucks (as opposed to 95). and due to the fact that those damn grots are 3 for 8 bucks.
oh well at least i can hang out with friends on sundays at the mall and have a good time.
