Its the amazing program called RM2k3! You can find a link for a download at the RM2K3 Forums.

Its a nice userfriendly program you can use to make RPG's with.

Or you could use one of the extremely detailed and capable editors from Morrowind or Neverwinter Nights.

I'll check that out, though.

If Nightstalkers is free though, that would be a better deal for those who don't have Morrowind or Neverwinter Nights... :)

RM2K3 is free, and it's a well-made and detailed program. It also allows you to make any kind of RPG, unlike the editors from Morrowind and Neverwinter Nights, which confine you to making RPG's that fit in with their own gameplay system.

I have no clue how to program at all. However, I have often times wanted to team up with somebody who knew how to, as I could come up with the story and dialogue, being a prolific writer and all. I've often wanted to make an old-school RPG that looks like FF6 or even from the NES and SNES Dragon Warrior series, but with a huge world and storyline.

Imagine, such wonderful nastalgic graphics setting, but with modern memory capacities on computers so that the world could actually feel like...a world, rather than a box to zip across in ten seconds with an airship. What if it took an hour or so to span a map by airship? With a world that big, the possibilities for storyline (and non-linear role playing) would be endless!!!

Are there any programmers short on ideas who would like to team up? Are there any sprite artists who would like to team up?

I am using RM2k3 to create a game for the CPA. If you wish, we can join up. I have someone who does pictures, but not someone to work with sprites.

I'd like to join up too! After all, all good games need some good music to go with it, right?

Is there some way to come together as a group to do this?

Maybe right here in these forums? After all, it is the "Casual Gamers Alliance" (taken literally, that means it can be more than just Magic...though I would never go to stress such content on the front page).

Could it happen? And if so, would it be in this forum or in the OT forum?

For this kind of thing, it would probably better and preferable to either go to the chat room or use PMs.

Good idea. My only concern is general messages to the whole team. Of course, if any of us have websites we can devote a space to post information.

I have such space available for text, but not enough room left on my site for files (as my comic archives take that up).

You can create Buddy list in the PM section and send the same PM to multiple people, so I'd imagine you guys woukd use that for general announcements...

For some of the files I'll have to email them to the other members. If you could, it would be better if you downloaded the RM2k3 program to get you started.

I followed the directions, but I can't find a download link on the page I get re-directed to.
