Awk, When I was on this site, suddenly I was infected with the funlove virus, according to my dad it was casued by this site! I don't really beleive him but it is a concern

Well this site has over 700 members and u r the first one to have such a problem (in my memory) it must be just a coincedence.

I wasn't this site. That is unless you follow a link and downloaded some weird thing from one of the member. Have you grabed any .exe from websites that might not be very repitable.

Did this virus damage your computer?

We caught it in time so it didn't do any damage, we have the upgrade for Norton Antivirus, so I would recomend if you don't have it, get it

Never had the funlove virus. I doubt it was caused by this site. I'm the top poster (Or was, spidey may have me beat now) and I've never recieved it.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but there is no transaction going on with posting a message to a BB that would get you a virus. Even receiving e-mail, it has only been recently that viruses have crept up that you can get without actually running an executable attachment. And those that you can get only effect the mail system, not the entire computer.

Anyway, I think I can safely say that unless you downloaded something, you didn't get the virus here.

That's what I said, but also all I had up was this site and my music (which is gaurentied virus free by me, I check it) so its probably just be a computer thing

Depending on how often you run your virus checker and what virus it was, it might have been on your computer for a while but suddenly activated.

Viruses are no longer restricted to executable attachments; they can also be written in Java and whatever you write macros in on the mail program. So someone could write a cute signature and embed a virus in that.
