It's the card created by Jon Finkel, who won this years invitational.
What do you think, is it a fair or unbalanced card?

Erm... Vendetta? That card will be released in the second set of the next _block_. As in, next year around this time. No doubt it will undergo _major_ changes between now and then to 'un-break' it. (Of course, Invitational cards tend to be excellent, but still...) Interesting that our dear friend Jon did not directly define Instant/Sorcery status, or rarity, or anything like that. I know if I made a card for the Invitational (haha), I would define the rarity, at least!

[I should add that the name will _definately_ change. R&D does occassionally use names for cards (Maro, etc), but those are reserved for R&D/WotC employees, so they probably won't use Finkel's name there... --Edited in, Zadok001]

Why? look at it this way:
2WW- wrath of god
4W- Wave of Reckoning
3WW- Rout
3WWU- Wrath of Leknif
see? Simply filling the vacant wrath slot.
And he submitted it as a sorcery. Even Finkel isn't that power-crazed.

That seems like a MAJOR proto-type. Its superpowered, undercosted(free for god's sake) and look at the name...Wrath of Finkel(backwards, but come on). Thats horrible. I hope they change the hell out of that card, and make it playable.

...they will altar the hell out of this card, trust me. They will change the name for sure, and what's even more assured is that they will change the casting cost. It's not hard to altar a card as unique-less as this.

I've never really liked Finkel. There's just something about him...this is a good example of it, full of himself at all?

I dunno, Finkel was always too bland for me to dislike. Seems like a nice guy, but doesn't have the personality I like in magic players.

Long, Wise, Mowshowitz (So I can't spell that name! So sue me!), they have character. Finkel's good, but he's not nicknamed "The Machine" because of his creative manuevers.....

I could be way off too. I'm not really in tune with the pro players, so maybe I'm just getting a bad impression with the limited things I see.

Wise: His "gossip" articles on the Dojo were too funny.

Hacker: Ditto.

Hammer: An oldie but goodie.

Long: Or was he made by controversy?

I don't know if these guys except for Long are currently pros, but they stand out in my mind.

The card doesn't necessiarly mean that gold will be in the next set. If they weren't planning on putting gold in the next set, they would tell finkel that using two colors was a no go.

Yeah, but making a mono-color version may end up being better than the dual-color one, so I doubt it.
