Actually going to Long Beach, California for some "family time".

I hope someone brings the chocolate and graham crackers... ;)

Hey, I'm obviously back and had a pretty good time... went to Disneyland, California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm, and Wild River. Couldn't do a lot of the stuff because my little one couldn't do a lot of stuff, but what she could go on, she had a blast. Weather was great all week - no rain. Might have had too much time with the family though ;)

Spending too much time with the family is better than not spending time at all.

That's true, but we DO spend time together at some point in the year all together. Like Christmas. That's only for one day though while this was for all week :)

Factoid: The Pacific Ocean is colder than the Atlantic Ocean.

No Magic, although while driving to Wild River I saw the Costa Mesa signs which reminded me of the profile done in the Duelist long ago about that place and it's Magic happenings.

No kidding about the water, MAN! We were on a bay or harbor, so we went to the "protected" side where the water was pretty shallow and not right on the ocean and where the sun could warm it up a little :)

I think what you're talking about is the Gulf Stream current that blows the warm water out from the Gulf of Mexico into the Atlantic ocean. Obviously the equatorial Pacific would be warmer than the southernmost reaches of the Atlantic, or such is my understanding...
