Ok guys, 1.5 tourney is tonight.
I reduced my choice down to two decks.
A "classical" white weenie that has proven it's value over, and a combo deck that I never played in competitive Magic.
I expect about 24 people to show up.
The metagame is going to look as follow :
B/U shadow-hatred
a couple of green beatdown
straight red burn (a couple)
at least one WW
maybe a stasis.
some W/U control
a tradewind survival
Replenish
pros-bloom.
The rest is unknown.

The heavy beatdown presence make me feel like playing WW but I think the combo deck is solid. Let me know what you think.

White weenie
// utility
3 Empyrial Armor
3 Land Tax
3 Parallax Wave
3 Swords to Plowshares
1 Glorious Anthem
3 Crusade
1 Abeyance

White Weenie is fine, but in Type I.5, you shouldn't be focusing on Empyreal Armor

Scroll Rack + Land Tax is the single most powerful card drawing engine in that format.

An example of a former Extended champ deck is:

EARLY EXTENDED TAX/RACK WW, RANDY BUEHLER
North American Extended Championship Winner

Creatures (14)
4 Savannah Lions
2 Gorilla Shaman
4 Soltari Priest
4 White Knight

Removal (13)
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Swords to Plowshares
2 Firestorm
3 Disenchant

Card Drawing (7)
4 Land Tax
3 Scroll Rack

Mana (26)
4 Mox Diamond
4 Tithe
4 Plateau
1 Savannah
8 Plains
1 Kjeldoran Outpost
4 Wasteland

Sideboard (15)
2 Gaea’s Blessing
1 Disenchant
3 Aura of Silence
2 Suleiman’s Legacy
2 Honorable Passage
2 Sand Golem
3 Pyroblast

The comprehensive commentary is in this guide to White Weenie:

Hope this helps. We had to restore this stuff after some nut from Phyrexia.com tried to delete a lot of the content.

I agree, go with the white weenie deck. I voted for both decks suck, but only because I can't stand to something not being voted for.

Land tax / scroll rack.

I have been poundering a lot in playing the combo ( I have 4 scroll rack), but wouldnt know what to take out, and thought it would be too slow for the deck, which is all about playing as many creatures as possible.

life is hard ... decisions, decisions ....

Rakso, you should get the WW primer on the front page or something.

That is THE BEST source for white weenies I've ever read.
And I have beeen playing WW since 97 !!!

Might make me reconsider some of my choices now that I read it.

3 thumbs up !!! (yes, I can get my three thumbs up when I want to, its not a typo)

Mundungu: Glad to help. Will see if it fits in CPA's submit window. :)

But it does fit, yes.

I thought it might be better to post a link to the original post, since it was on another site, and I'm loathe to even appear to "steal" content.

Just the same, I archived the article you posted, and it can be accessed from our "Articles" page ("Other" section) or by clicking this link.

Thanks for that one...WW is still my all-time favorite archetype. Though I hate to see Crusade leave type 2, I'm all a-quiver about the rumored return of Cataclysm.

Chaos Turtle: Glad you like it. :) I wrote that so it's useful for casual players, too, while still giving all the strategy insights.

However, don't worry about "stealing" content.

Beyond Dominia pretty much exists to share info and strategy. It's an all-volunteer site and everything is pretty much out of good will.

Feel free to post any comments since you linked it. :)

Would you guys like to note the other strategy guides we've archived on Beyond Dominia? :)

That is one hell-of-a great present rakso, I knew it was going to be big...but not THAT big! Great job.:)

I think everyone needs to read all of the primers, they're the all-in-one source for everything about that deck type.

In case you don't know where the rest of the primers are, go here:
http://www.bdominia.addr.com/discus/articles/T1FAQlist.html

A big THANK YOU to everyone who wrote a primer.:)

Allright, for those who are interested, here is what happened friday night with my WW.

I had changed it in the last minute to include land tax/ scroll rack combo.

First match: Seth playing a crazy token production deck featuring eldamari's vineyard, lot of elves, stampeding wildebeest and Rith, the whole fuled with survival of the fittest.
First game we got to a stall since he managed to get a weaver out and bouncing it with his wildebeests.
Before that I could stall him by having a parallax wave in play for his biggies.
I had the land tax/scroll rack thing going and after 5 turns of looking through my library at 10 cards + a turn (had 2 land taxes out) eventually got the sword to plowshare.
My empyreal armored creatures made a quite feast of him in the next turn.
Game two lasted 5 rounds thanks to a first turn savannah lion, second turn disenchant his survival, third turn empireal armor.

match two. Chris, playing a black controllish deck with buried alive, nether shadows and a lot of graveyard recursion.
Both games I managed to get a soltari pro balck out with got empyreal armored. quick game.

match three.
??? with secret force.
First game the deck did what it had to do. Lion, weenies, shadow, empyreal, game.
Second game
I side out all disenchants for more creature removal.
here is his play : first turn forest elf. second turn forest, elf, priest of tit.
Fourth turn, gaeas cradle, masticore.
Fifth turn, deranged hermit.

Needless to say his masticore ate my weenies for breakfeast.
Thrid game, he got his masticore out on turn 3 this time with cradle and plenty of elves. He had enough man to kill my own masticore played on turn 4!
Nothing I could do there ...

Oh well, wrath of god would have been nice, but hey, that's the game. Also I never played against secret force and next time will know better, esp. as far as sideboarding is concerned.

So I scrubbed out, but had a lot of fun and made great trades ( I am trying to complete sets and am missing only about 10 cards of each block only :) ), so the evening was worth it !

I love FNM
