Untapped Combo

You need two cards for this.

You need Gustcloak saviour, which will give all your creatures the gustcloak ability (this isn't an actual ability like haste or trample, just an ability that several cards have in common.) Gustcloak allows a creature thats blocked to untap and remove from combat if it's controller chooses. With the saviour you can attack with all the creatures you have every turn. Untap the ones that are blocked unless they are strong enough to kill the blockers. Then you have a bunch of tapped creatures, except for your weak ones that you removed from combat, vulnerable to a counter attack.

This is where reveille squad comes in.
Reveile squad is an old card that allows you to untap all your creatures when your opponent attacks, as long as reveille squad is untapped.

This way you attack with all your creatures except for reveille squad, then untap all the blocked ones that are too weak. When your opponent counterattacks all your creatures will untap.

Add daru warchief, and this combo is nearly unstoppable.

It is important to note that this combo is only "unstoppable" when your opponent is playing a creature-based aggro deck that uses creatures you can block. If your opponent is playing burn, shadow creatures, a deck with Wrath of God, a combo deck, or has a superiour defense, this combo doesn't actually do a whole lot.

Yes, you will be totally owning the combat step.

Or how about Blinding Angel + Whispersilk Cloak?

Or Forgotten Ancient + Spike Weaver?

Or a Loxodon Warhammer + a creature?

Or a Sword of Fire and Ice / Sword of Light and Shadow + a creature?

Owning the combat phase is neither very difficult nor very rewarding. That's why, in general, control decks focus on removal (Akroma's Vengeance) rather than stall cards like Solitary Confinement, Oracle's Attendants, Master Healer, and whatnot.

There are some exceptions, notably Moment's Peace, which is pretty brutal "life gain" and probably the best Fog that will ever be printed (like how Wall of Blossoms is the best wall we'll ever see printed).

What's more, you speak of a defensive creature-based deck. Personally, I prefer a creature like Jareth who can block absurdly well and later apply a moderately unstoppable clock.

So not to be too critical about your combo, it's just that it's not as devastating as you make it out to be.
