You could also do an "oldtimer" format with all cards Alpha-Fallen, where you have that dark look to the cards, the old white mana symbol, and the old tap symbol or the word Tap.

I have a few decks like this myself. Its fun to play this old block of cards at a big game because most players, being new, have never seen the stuff. Is always fun to throw down a Living Wall or a Stone-Throwing Devils.

The old white mana symbol did stick around a little after FE though...

Anyway, it would be weird because most people don't have enough cards that old in order to build a good deck. The ones that do would dominate thouroughly...

I know you said regular restrictions apply, but it would be fun to give it a whirl just once. This deck is the reson most of those cards got banned. Goldfishing it can win on turn 1 frequently, and almost always hits home by turn 3.
