Hey there, people. It's your old turtley pal. Just wanted for some reason to mention that I plan to move to Tuscon, Arizona this fall and was wondering if any of you was from that area? Perhaps let me know where to hang out, play Magic, get into trouble, etc etc?

Thanks in advance.
Later.

You'll want to meet the silent, odd kid at the tourney.

You should come to Missouri. You wont have any trouble finding strangers who jus want to "show you" in general...

Actually, DÛke, I spent most of my childhood in and around Jefferson City. My dad still lives there. I'm still as "stubborn as a Missouri mule," or so I'm told. ;)

Howdy, Spiderman. I check in from time to time; just don't have a lot of time for active posting, what with my Warcraft III career taking up so much time and all. :D

So, I take it I won't be meeting any CPA-ers in Arizona this fall. :(

Well, it seems hardly fair that you disappear for months and then come back and tell us that you're moving...without telling us why. What happened?

Please tell me it's not another midlife crisis again...

Hey! I haven't had my first midlife crisis yet!

Ok, the really short version of the story is that I used to live with the family of one of my very good friends. Basically I'm like one of the family. Now, everyone went their separate ways -- one to the Navy, one to college, and the matron moved out to Arizona for her own reasons.

She invited me to come along, and I would have jumped at the chance then (I really hate this small town I'm living in) except that my very best friend was in prison at the time, and had a couple of years of probation following his release. There was no way I was leaving town without him; he hates this place as much as I do, and as I said he's my best friend, my "hetero life-mate" if you will.

Well, I've been biding my time, planning on moving out of this town just as soon as my buddy's probation ended (which it has; I'm so proud) and neither of us has ever been out that far west. Actually, that's not quite true; I was born in Arizona but left it while I was too young to remember, in my first year of life.

Anyways...

No midlife crisis. I'm just looking for a change of scenery, an adventure. I've discarded the old muddied roadmap of my life and am embarking on a new course, uncertain of where it will lead but what the hell.

I wish the best for you - are you going to meet up with the matron out there?...

That would give you another friend to be around...

If you ever come through TX - let me know... I... could... show you... oil?...:p

Hope you like heat!...;) :D

Actually, I'll probably be staying with my friend (who's moving with me) and the son of "the matron." The lady herself has her own place and probably prefers to keep it that way. ;)

I don't live in Arizona anymore(however, that IS where I lived when I started playing magic!). I lived in Scottsdale.

The only thing that I did when I lived there was swim in the pool, go play magic(when I had nothing but Fallen Empires), watch the Firebirds play(but that was when AZ didn't have a major league baseball team), or go to Castles and Coasters, a small, yet fun, amusement park(THEY HAVE BUMPER BOATS!!!!!!!!).

Enjoy the move!
