Answer: They're related (cousins).
Only two people got this right, Lythand and Oversoul. Everyone else, cardboardbox, DarthFerret, EricBess, rokapoke, sageridder, and TomB missed it.
As this is kinda obscure, I'm surprised anyone got it. I'm sure everyone would like to know how the two above knew it

I'd read crap on the internet all the time, and I'd read (or heard at some other point) about Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimmy Swaggart. I know next to nothing about Mickey Gilley and country musicians in general for that matter, but I thought he was from Louisiana too, so I was 80% sure I was right.
I'm surprised so few people got it, though. I'd have thought the OLD guys would know more about other old guys than I would...

2) Jerry Lee Lewis is a musician and did "Great balls of Fire" and married a teenager.
3) Jimmy Swaggert is/was a TV evangelist who was boffing some hooker or secretary and got caught.
But to know they were all related is beyond comprehension........
