hey - kingpin and widow are snow-boarding terms and mther-in-law is something you make fun of about someone else while at the ski lodge...

but I'm not a sore loser...

You know, I never heard of these slang names for bowling pins. I remembered that there was a movie with Woody Harrelson about bowling called Kingpin, so I went with that.

I don't know all of them. The layout is like this:

The headpin is 1. The kingpin is 5. I'm not sure the other two. I think the widow is 10 and the mother-in-law is 4, but those would just be guesses. I've heard of the widow before, but not the mother-in-law. I was guessing based on 2 out of 3... :D

I was guessing on 2 out of 3 too...

I think those names come from when you leave 'em in a split... One being a widow the other a mother in law...

But I'm not much of a bowler. And I don't even play one on TV.
