To the drafters of the Second Singleton Draft

Ransac

CPA Trash Man
I am suffering from a case of mistaken indentity. I drafted SCABland (Comes into play tapped. T: Add 1. T: Add R or W and take 1) when my intended target was SCRUBland (Plains-Swamp).

I never had any intention of drafting a CIPT painland that taps for a color outside of my deck's strategy. It doesn't make sense (except that I got the names confused). Scrubland is the land I had intended, and given my draft plan at the time, it fit perfectly with everything else that I was taking.

The drafting of Scrubland or Scabland doesn't affect any over player in the draft and it's obvious which card I was after. What I'm asking for is the forgiveness of the rest of you and to allow me to place the proper card in my card pool.

Sure... although maybe I should edit your article to add your name to the "ineptness of drafting" list :D

I vote for Spidey's idea. Maybe when Ransac finishes up his journal, we should force him to explain the reasoning behind taking an off-color CIP tapped painland.

Seriously, though, I think everyone knew the card Ransac intended to take when he drafted it. I just wanted to lord over him with my superior card knowledge and observational skills. Honestly, I wouldn't have even noticed if he hadn't forgotten to link the card when he drafted it. I did it for him and put in "Scablands" which is what he had originally. Obviously, that didn't work, so I looked up "Scabland" and it clearly wasn't the right card, but I couldn't remember the name of the right card offhand, so I left it be.

I just assumed no one was foolish enough to draft such a card so I glazed over it. Obviously I was wrong about the relative foolishness of my fellow drafters, one in particular at least.

Hey... this drafter drafted the UB version of it... Since "another" drafter kept grabbing the optimal ones before me... :)

Heh, oddly enough, even with his "misdrafted" card, he's still undefeated (not counting his match against BPC...)

Mooseman, you can get a redraft in round 3... :)

I think we should change things up slightly though... I'd like to see a draft of 30 cards, then draft 3 cards after each match based on W/L records... The pool of cards would be smaller, but for 40 card decks 30 is plenty... And you could add 3 after playing your deck so you'd better know what you need. That'd make the initial draft a third shorter... You could also do a "backdraft" where you'd choose a number of cards (0-5) and throw those out of your deck to then draft again (the released cards would be available to anyone). This way if you selected cards which for whatever reason weren't useful you could dump them and not have to endure w/ bad cards.

Can I get someone else to draft for me? Like a pinch runner, a pinch drafter? Then I might have a chance........
