yeh.. so far i don't have problems with beatdown deck's..
burn decks is more problematic:)

technically since this is the cpa, 4 tinkers isnt really an issue... although slightly overpowered...

if you need to keep it blue black, you could easily run

1 vampiric tutor
1 demonic tutor
1 tinker
1-4 fabricate
1 mystical tutor
1-4 merchant scroll
or a reshape if your artifact is cheap..
or any combination of the above..

or any combination of the two.
I myself don't personally care, but running tinkers opens the floodgates for your opponents to run all sorts of cheese.. like a turn 1 darksteel colossus easy,etc..

this way you can stick it to them and basically have the same idea..

if you're running so many mesmeric orbs, i would highly recommend 2-3 gaea's blessing so you never deck yourself, get all your cards back from grafted skullcap, as well as being able to recast glimpses..

since you're not running any creatures, you might want to consider breathstealer's crypt and possibly spreading plague against creature based decks.
