I have recently got back into magic. I used to play a little back in high school but that seems ages ago now and so much has changed since then.
First I would like to say that I have enjoyed reading many of the threads here, and have had the oppertunity to learn much from all of you. Thanks to many of your comments and insights I have learned that I am a "TIMMY." Although many of you might see the term "TIMMY" as a dirty word mostly associated with unexperienced and underchalenging newbies such as myself, I have come to terms with this and accept it wholeheartedly.
When I see those big numbers on the bottom right and my opponent is sweating and praying during his draw step it brings a smile to my inner child as I hear the ancient echo of "My dad can beat up your dad" in the deapths of my subconsious. All too often though us timmys are shut down and crushed by those annoying little cheap mana costing cards, because WOTC put way more thought and emphasis on them. A lot has changed since my younger days...."TIMMY" has finally got his due....with Scourge.
I have little chance to go to my local gaming store and play the well seasoned magic players, and on those rare occasions I have been beat down and shut down and accepted with grace my own ass as my opponent handed it to me with a grin. BUT NO MORE!
Zombies....Timmy likes them...yes he does.
With the new scourge mixed with onslaught and legions Timmy gets to have the cake and eat it too. Well in my case cake simply wont do....UNGHHH....BRAINSSSS.....
With noxious ghoul, buried alive, and patriarchs bidding i have a zombie wrath of god. With undead warchief and soulless one I am just reveling in TIMMY glory, finalpunishmentand i have decimated a seasoned tournament player on turn five for 20 points of timmy power. None of it costing more than five mana.
So to all you seasond vets out there, the ones who chuckle at me when i play silvos and vissara...the ones who mocked me and had their fun...Timmy is here....and hes pissed.
