4x Cursed Scroll
4x River Boa
4x Granger Guildmage
4x Rancor
4x Shyshroud Elite
4x Skyshroud Elves (read it again, Sparky!)
4x Mogg Fanatic
2x Dwarven Miner
4x Incinerate
3x Swords to Plowshares
3x Wax/Wane
3x Treetop Village
3x Plains
5x Mountains
4x Wasteland
6x Forest
61 cards total (I know, but it's a Wakefield thing)
3 colors and maximum casting cost spells for 2, did I get that part right?
This is a sub-par version of the original because I am without Plateau's, Taiga's and Savannah's. But wait, that's not all, I am attempting to smooth out the mana curve with Skyshroud Elves, whoopie! This is the deck I'm taking to my local tourney NEXT week (this week is type II). The Scrolls are an absolute 'beating', and the Wax/Wane's seem like a good choice. Trix has reared it's ugly head at the shop and guess who is playing it? Yup, THE EVIL SHOP GURU <insert evil-maniacal-twisted laugh here>!!!!!!!!!
Plus, I am getting smacked around lately with my T-S deck and besides, I need a break from Blue (did I say that outloud?)
I would appreciate helpful tips about this deck which has a foreign color in it: RED. And would someone please tell me (I know, AGAIN) how to do that Illusions on the stack thing and I Wax it and they somehow loose the game? Pleeeeeeeese? :)

Cast Illusions, fine. illusions resolves.
Illusions comes into play, put Illusion`s 'Gain 20 life' onto the stack. Cast Wane. Wane resolves and kills Illusions. Put Illusions 'Lose 20 life' onto the stack. Resolve stack in last-in, first-out order.

No matter how many times I read Skyshroud Elf, it is still a 1/1 for 2cc. Birds are better.

Land:
3 Treetop Village
4 Wasteland
4 Brushland
4 Karplusan Forest
6 Forest
(You HAVE to get the right colour of mana, so take the damn pain!)
But 21 seems a little low, esp with 4 Wastes among them.

Otherwise looks about right.

Take Gizmo's advice, except make 4 of your mountains Taigas, your plains Savannah and change the Skyshroud Elves into Land Grants

Land grant and tithe were mostly good for one reason: Dual lands. They summoned any dual land that had either white or green. See?

Yellowjacket has already said that he does not have much access to dual lands. Don't suggest them.

I wasn't, I was explaining why I wouldn't run land grant or tithe.....

when 'FIRES' became a popular deck, I exploited my Karplusan's for a bit of a beefy price ($9 ea.), so I am without those, for now. I have four Brusland. I DO have one Savannah but 0x Taiga's or Plateau's.
Interestingly enough, the BoP's smothed over some of the problem and they are, a one dropper, thanks Gizmo (and I take back what I said about snooty Brits :))

Okay, query: How does this deck deal with pandaburst?

this deck is my therapy deck. I am taking a small break from playing Blue and am actually playing a foreign color: RED!
So I don't know how I'll do at this weeks Extended tourney.
It's rumored that TRIX will be there, played again by The Evil Shop Guru. And of course there will the usual decks: Doug's <insert slap happy clarinet solo here> weird concoxtion of a deck, Sligh, Counter-Sliver, and Suicide Black w/o Hatred.
I don't think anyone at the shop even owns a Pandamonium. :)

Alright, today's Thursday and that means it's Tourney Day at the ol' Exit 13.
I replaced the Skyshroud Elves with Birds of Paradise. However, the land is going to be tough today, I have 1x Savannah, so that'll go in, and I DO have 4x Brushland, they might go in if I can't borrow any more Savannah's. I also need to borrow some Karplusan Forests or Taiga's (Heck, I'd settle for some Plateau's). If none of these things happen for my lands, I'm still going to play the deck.
The BoP's are comming out pretty good on the first turn and this deck can afford to Mulligan once or twice without much drawback.
My likely opposing decks tonight are:
Trix (played by The Evil Shop Guru or one of his cronies)
Classic White Weenie (The Matt Linde version)
Hatred without the Hatred (Bill said he doesn't need them, <right>.)
Superman (a wicked evil mono-Blue Control with 4x Morphlings)
Classic Stompy
Stasis (Maybe, this is the deck that a little 11 yr. old plays, and he wrecks most of us Big Time! But that's only if his mommy will let him stay out late :))
Classic Sligh (The Ben Rubin version)
Three-Deuce (This former Pro-Tour dude came down last month and wrecked everyone with thee perfect version of this deck-he might show up again)
Rogue (Doug <insert slap happy clarinet solo here> will definitly show up with some concoxtion of a deck :))

I now have three Savannah's & two Taiga's. And I was just thinking, I wonder if Rith's Grove (The new G/W/R Liar) would be good in this deck.
The Pro's: It produces the 3 colors needed G-W-R/ all of the spells cost two or less so the draw back wouldn't be too bad.
The Con's: I can't search for it with Land Grant or Tithe, and if I draw it in my opening hand it could slow me down a turn.
I'll post the deck with some additions later.

While the lairs may be ok in Type II or IBC, I really doubt they're any good in extended.

Of course, if it is your fourth+ land drop, it could work in this deck. Of course, you also want to have established control by that point, so I would say no to the lairs.
