Art for Trained Armodon: Indifferent. Both suck equally.

I must say, upon seeing this, I was saddened just as much as when I saw the Birds vs Elves vote. I voted elves, knowing the jerks out there would flood and win birds the vote.

The wombat is SO much more fun for casual, but Yavimaya Enchantress is so much more a superior card, both T2- and Limited-wise, that it will win with a landslide.

This is the time to make the casual vote heard! VOTE FRIKKEN WOMBAT!

ALL I EVER WANTED WAS WOMBATS WITH FRIKKEN LASERS ON THEIR HEADS! THROW ME A BONE HERE!


...Oh yeah, and the art vote: The old one for the armodon is WAY better. The new one is too soft, and looks like its dying AND falling off a cliff at the same time. At least the Tempest one looks lame, but still superior to the art with THREE strikes against it.

I hope they keep the original artwork. :) The lovable berserking furball shall return! All we need now are some aggressive enchantments like Unholy Strength and unstable Mutation.

I think the Wombat gets the nod from me, but I agree that the Enchantress is more versatile and will probably win.

I actually have an opinion about the art (since Chaos Turtle linked to it on the front page)! I like the old one, it seems more "edgy" and defined with the bumps and what-not. The other art just looks "flat", no dimension.

I like Rabid Wombat...but the name makes me sad I love magic so much.

...I still want it to win.

I know there are a lot of old players out there who hold a special place for Wombat (some would say the trash bin ;)). Personally, I'm a fan. It got my vote. I would love to see him make a comeback.

I voted for Yavimaya Enchantress sticking by the same principle I've based all of my 8th edition votes - I don't need the Rabid Wombat for any type 2 decks, but the Yavimaya Enchantress I might (especially if they bring back my Argothian Enchantress).

I have nothing against the Rabid Wombat, its a fun, great card. But its not needed in Type 2.

Okay I voted for the Wombat. gotta love the wombat but I almost voted for the enchantress because I hadn't seen the new art. I like it.

Why would you expect a pummeling, Mikeymike? You have a very sound reason for voting the way you did. And I'm sure the tournament vote will win over the nostalgia and casual vote. *gumbles* ;)

Again, accessability is my reason for voting to have this wonderful little critter popped back in the main set. So many new players would benefit from experiencing the joys of weilding the power of a rabid little varmit like the Wombat.

Anyway, back to reality. I voted Wombat simply because he's the wombat and he's got a cooler name than Yavimaya Enchantress. The Wombat is king. He will eat the Enchantress for lunch any day of the week, twice on Fridays, four times on Monday, and an astounding 832 times on Thursday!!:eek: :eek:

And as for the art, the old isn't *great* (neither is the card), but at least it doesn't look cartoonish. The 7th art looks like it belongs on the cover of Dumbo.

Really? When my girlfriend went to Italy, she brought me back an Italian Jigglypuff (it is one o'my favorites, after all...yes, yes, I have favorite Pokemon...). In Italy, though, it's still just Jigglypuff.

On the vote: Old art for the Armodon (I really like this card, BTW) and...yes, the Wombat.
