This totally sucks!

Our well pump broke and we don't have any water! And I have school tomorrow! I can't take a shower or even flush the frigging toilet!

My home has a pump...the water's so bad it clogs the filters. We have to get a new softener every six months.

If you do, you can zip on over and ask 'em to let you use their shower and toilet!

What is a friend if you can't take a dump in their homes once in a while?

Once in a while is usually okay, but this sounds like it might be daily for a while... would you want to risk your home to that kind of exposure?

The plumber came this morning and was able to pull up and fix the pump. The water has returned to us, in less than 24 hours. A swift job.

(By the way- the nearest friend Sven has is about 60 miles- seriously- from where we live. That is, "zipping over" would not be very practical. Ah, the rural life.)
