Anyone watching this? We got sucked into it after watching all the episodes and don't think it's bad so far... last week's episode even got to my wife, so I guess we're gonna be watching it for a while :)

It's basically the new teen drama/soap opera on FOX.... on at Tuesdays at 9 PM EST, but they usually play repeats of the shows at other times to get people hooked (for instance, they'll play last night's show again next Monday).

Guy from the "wrong side of town" gets taken in by his lawyer's family on the rich side of town, meets beautiful girl on that side and contends with her boyfriend for her affections... that's how it started out, but they're developing the other characters more now.

Isn't that really similar to Luke Perry's character from 90210??? Now, I never watched the show, but from all the commercials I saw it looks like Fox is not exactly exploring any new ground...

I'm not sure, I never really watched 90210 except the first episode which I don't remember at all.

The cast is definitely smaller (at least it feels that way to me), it started out with the one guy and two others have developed, one as a friend and one as the aforementioned boyfriend. Only one girl stands out as a lead, the romantic interest, although she has a friend who seems to be in a secondary role right now.

The parental figures seem to be more prominent also, but like I said, I don't know how "pivotal" they were in 90210.

Yeah, they're not exploring new ground, but since FOX lost a couple of other teen shows, I guess this is just stepping up to bat :)

Tape one while watching the other! :)

But I think it's moving to Wednesday nights.... it was supposed to be on Thursday but they figured that was suicide with CSI on at that time :)

It would've been at the least - suicide...

As for Wednesday nights - that was 90210's nights - and may do well there... at least it won't compete with playmakers...

;)

It might take a hit when the Amazing Race comes back on... I read it got signed for it's 5th run...

Unless that audience doesn't watch both :)

Pretty sure that no one is watching this except me, but last week's episode was pretty funny in that Seth, the lovable dork, mentioned that he loves to play Magic: The Gathering when talking abotu what he likes to do Saturday night :)

I don't think they're going to show him play, it was more to establish his character as a nerd, unfortunately (in that the show chose Magic to use as the example)

I said I'd watch it, I did... and kinda liked it!...

"A little 90210-ish if you ask me!...";)

You see it or tape it spidey?...

Taped it last night, haven't seen it yet...

It is pretty much acknowledged, if not billed, as the next 90210. Even Jason Priestly said he watched an episode and saw the similarities :)

Previous episodes I sneaked in on seemed kid-centered... but this show's difference between it and 90210 is that this one plays a lot on the parents...

No more details from train's mouth until spidey watches it...:D

The focus changes. At first it was about the kids but they started developing the parents more, which is a good balance as they seem to have interesting storylines as well. Probably next week will go back to the kids.
