What's Going On - Marvin Gaye (1971)
I always think of these songs together. About six years ago, my dad was involved in a business that I helped out with pretty frequently. Anyway, I was helping him load or unload some warehouse stock and I saw something that quoted Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" or maybe I saw something that caused me to quote it. My dad "corrected" me that the title of the song was "Let's Get it On." But I was sure that "What's Going On" was a Marvin Gaye song. Later that day, he dug up his CD with "Let's Get it On" and I sent him the mp3 of "What's Going On" while he was doing that. By that time, he'd apparently misremembered the argument as both of us claiming that the other song didn't exist, so he went from thinking he was right to "we were both wrong."
