It is now day 3 of the "Browns are in the playoffs" celebration party, and I have finally stopped hugging people just long enough to make this thread. For the first itme since 1994, the Browns have meaningful football left to be played!

And guess what!!

It's officially January, and the Browns' season isn't over! WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!

The party shall continue at least until sunday, so grab a beverage and/or goat and join in! And if the Browns just so happen to beat the Steelers this sunday, the world better watch out, 'cos I haven't even begun to celebrate!

I believe the Browns will upset - at least this weekend...

I'm sad my Bills didn't make it but happy to watch Tom Brady fail...

I am rooting for the Browns this weekend. I won't be rooting for them if they win though because they will probably be playing the Raiders. But at least I will wish them good luck this week.

GO BUCKS!! I'm going to a party in an hour, and I happen to live in Ohio, so it's pretty much mandatory. :)

But even this game pales in comparison to the fact that THE BROWNS ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!

My post-season picks are 1 for 1 so far...

As long as the Browns, Colts, 49ers, and Packers win I'll be 5 for 5!!!...

Few more inches my foot - they had the game won... and then let their 5th stringers play...

It wasn't any worse than San Francisco's comeback over the Giants and then that botched snap at the end. By the way, did you all see how the NFL actually admitted that they blew the call on that play?

Yeah, it was nice they admitted it for once. But they botch calls all the time (the Browns game, for instance)--the officiating is just horrible in this league. I think everyone in the stadium and at home knew what the call was supposed to be on that play--everyone but the officials.

And YJ, I'm sorry, I do rather like the Steelers, but after what 2nd-stringer Kelly Holcomb did to you sunday, how far do you think you're gonna go in the playoffs? You have to face Steve McNair and either Rich Gannon or Chad Pennington to get to the Super Bowl--and all of those guys make Kelly Holcomb look like a Pop Warner leaguer. I think you're in trouble.

And I believe those teams have defenses, too, unlike the Browns...

Hey, hey, now, in the grand scheme of things, one botched play in a game that has what, 100+ or so isn't too bad. And even grander, not all games are botched.

Plus, the people at home and everywhere else get the advantage of seeing the event from a "birds eye" view, not the field view like the officials.

Well, it's not the first time the NFL botched a call that really mattered in the playoffs. If it weren't for a call a few years ago the Bucs would have been in the Superbowl...I can't wait to see what will go wrong this Sunday when the Bucs play the 'niners...

You used the word "plus" incorrectly. :p :p And in this situation, it didn't matter what view the officials saw it from. The NFL said that the flag should have been thrown for defensive pass interference because the 49ers player interfered with an eligible receiver, even though there was an ineligible receiver downfield. They said that even though time had expired, the game cannot end on off-setting penalties and the down would have been replayed.

Yes, that's all fine and well, but let's concern ourselves w/ the important things: The Bucs! Getting over their inability to score touchdowns the Bucs are going to the NFC Championship...
