Tempting Wurm

This deck is a weak attempt by me to use Tempting Wurm successfully. It's really meant for MP.

4 Tempting Wurm
4 Glacial Wall
4 Wall of Ice
4 Wall of Roots
4 Blatant Thievery
3 Control Magic
3 Confiscate
3 Sky Diamond
3 Moss Diamond
4 Capsize
24 lands

The deck drops walls early for defense and mana accleration and then drops a Tempting Wurm. After they drop their permanents, you can steal them with Blatant Thievery and Confiscate. The Capsizes deal with emergencies.

Not too bad... All the creatures are cheap, so it's just the spells costing so much...

Do you think light of day or something to that effect would work well though if you were to sleight or alter reality it... I t would just open slots, that's all...

You might want to try running Telepathy as well. I really like Blatant Theivery in there.

You should probably running Fog Bank as one of your walls. In MP, a fatty flyer just won't bother attacking you, but it will smack another opponent around.

Maybe Black Green running Discard?

Then you get a little control too, with creature kill.

That could be effective, problem in MP is ALL opponents get to add stuff, syphon mind would be a good one...

You could also run the other Green drop creature (wasn't it a 6/6 for 4 which allowed all other players to drop one creature?)...

Blue could really use wash out too.

I think I'm going to build something around this, it sounds fun and I haven't built a new deck in a while.

Yea. Humping Wumpass was a 6/6 for 3G that allowed your opponents to get out a free creature.

Hunted Wumpus doesn't let your opponents put a creature into play. It let's each other player put a creature into play :)

Tempting Wurm really needs something like Cataclysm afterwards to punish people for overcommiting. Gilded Drakes. Treachery.

I've had some fun Eureka'ing out Hunted Wumpi and Tempting Wurms.

Hunting Whoopass is the usual term, I think. :)

Why the Diamonds? You've got a lot of high-cost spells, I'll grant, but mana acceleration in the form of Diamonds isn't really the best way to get there from here. Vine Trellis? It would round out the Walls of Roots nicely. BoP would also be a good possibility, of course, and all of those are more interesting than the Diamonds, which don't really accelerate you much at all.

Look at the picture. It's OBVIOUS there was originally somthing in front of it, probably another Wumpus.

When Hasbro saw the picture, they didn't want the Sex Monkey all over again(and nephews ruining good cards), so they Paintshopped the card and painted arrows in it's back while removing the other wumpus.

How else do you explain it bringing other creatures into play?

 Errr... don't answer that.

Theres nothing wrong with this deck except for some weak creatures. I like the wall idea a lot. Try adding Angelic Wall from the Oddessy series. It has flying and its a wall.
