Quick question...how does ONE change their "name" underneath their Handle?

And yes I've only been a member a week..and I see the same peeps day in day out...Im on from 8-5pm CST (Im at work)..and an occasional nite appearance..

Im sure ya'll have lots o members and poets and the like..but please dont take things too seriously..it seems like if ANYONE has a "non-pro" CPA statement they get jumped on. Yelled at just for having an opinion that is not YOUR opinion...I read the mission statement many times over (I like it) and it clearly says this is a place for your thoughts...

"The CPA is not a dictatorship. You are free to agree or disagree with anyone at any time on any subject. Your opinions are not restricted in any way; we just ask that you mind your manners. No one's opinion will go unrecognized and no one will have their voice stifled due to their opinions, no matter how contrary to the majority their opinion may be."..

I love that-statement. Im always open to constructive criticism and I understand your loyalty to CPA...but really, Im not here just to offend people...I just call it like I see it and dont want to step on anyones collective toes or whatever ya'll walk on, or crawl.

So, relax, have a Cola on me. (No diet).
Im all ears and have very thick skin.

Sorry Teamregime, but you know there is a real sense of community here, and we are still small.

It's like people, when they are small, they tend to be more irritable (no offense ment to anybody here).
We're like the porcupine (is that spelled right ?)

You definitly are right about the freedom of thoughts - and speech - here, and even if we are quick to defend ourselves, we also know when we are wrong, see the Thread where Baskil got flamed. He did a lot of good eventually.

So dont take our flame too seriously either ...

Do we really only have 12 heavy posters though? It doesent seem like much, but it may be the truth...

I would lean towards 20 heavy members, and about 20-40 light members...

Gotta agree with TeamRegime's assessment: people are mighty quick in defending the CPA, whether it's warranted or not (and in this, I have to disagree with Mundungu; I don't think Baskil's article was off the mark and the ensuing "flame" was... but I probably need to re-read that thread again).

FoR: If you've only been here a wekk, certain names just pop up who've been posting every day. TeamRegime probably just pulled 12 out of the air; it could be 20. But for that small time period, the impression it would leave would still be around those numbers: very few.

I dont know yet what Ill change my name to..maybe "CPA antagonist." ;-)

Actually it WAS a number I threw out there. Can't blame people from not visiting on a regular basis...with all the nice weather and summer coming...thats when I play magic the least, unless it's for a Top Level Event (like the coming Regionals)...

One suggestion--maybe post a "Town Meeting" time for people to meet up online here at CPA at a specific time and place...sorta like a round table...that would be interesting to see and participate in. Everyone here has very distinct opinions on all sorts of subjects (all with one common loyalty).

I set up times for my CHAT ROOM..for informal chat sessions and they worked pretty well. Thats when "flaming" becomes fun...when the person can respond asap..PLUS we ALL KNOW eachother personally, so the ribbing never gets out of hand.

Were actually having a problem on our "Free" BulletinBoard right now, poster whose flaming our local PTour players and NOT leaving their address or signing their name. Cheap Shots...

I looked into this version of VBulletinBoard but I simply cannot afford this type of service..I wish I could...I said it before..I LOVE this BB Setup...sigh....well I should get back to work.
