I thought I posted this when I first got here... maybe I get deleted, dunno. I've been updating my decks and resubmitting so I could get the feedback on them now that they actually work.

4 Gempalm Polluter
2 Twisted Abomination
3 Nantuko Husk
3 Vengeful Dead
3 Undead Warchief
3 Festering Goblin
2 Soulless One
2 Noxious Ghoul
2 Woebearer
1 Lord of the Undead

4 Dark Ritual
3 Grave Pact
3 Patriarch's Bidding
2 Death Pit Offering
1 Decree of Pain

19 Swamp
2 Phyrexian Tower
1 Volrath's Stronghold

It should go like cycle cycle cycle BIDDING I WIN. I reckon the win condition is either: Nantuko+Vengeful+Bidding, Nantuko+Grave Pact+Bidding, or Noxious+Bidding.

I would suggest running more lord of the undead's and more Noxious ghouls.
Simply because they're amazing. Once noxious hits all 1'1s die. then next turn perhaps all 2'2,3'3 etc. Lord of the undead is godly with Gempalm polluter. Same with the warchief.

I love teh zombies! But always I add something special to the deck and avoid running it "basic". I have 3 different 'combo' zombie decks:

1) throw in blue for cards like Probe and Read the Runes for massive discarding. Then use a Twilight's call (or patriachs bidding if you have them) to animate them. 4x noxious ghoul makes sure only the zombies survive :D Putrid Raptor is good in this version (run it with other morphs for surprise value) as is Soulless One. Tsi, your idea of cycling them is something I should try too.....

2) 4x graveborn muse in a zombie deck with white added for life gain. Use Words of Worship if you have any. I played with Life Burst and Renewed Faith, works good too.

3) Tombstone Stairwell... Vengeful Dead and Noxious Ghoul are nasty with it.

I also played a very aggro zombie deck. It drops all the cheap zombies like Carnophage and Festering Goblin early and powers them up with Undead Warchief. Fun if you just want to bash some opponents. A zombie deck focused on loss of life is possible too: Gempalm Pollutor, Maggot Carrier, Shepherd of Rot. Expect your opponents to take you out real quick. At least the game will be over short with such a deck :)

In summary, I like to play different kind of zombie decks. They are versatile and it keeps opponents guessing what you play exactly even after you played some zombies (especially if you mix up the creatures in your different builds a bit). Being unpredictable can have its advantages during games!

Unfortunately Limited browses these boards to and as you may already know, he is one of the people I play with....

Well actually Force, the changes I was going to make were:

-1 Lord of the Undead
-1 Decree of Pain
-1 Volrath's Stronghold
-2 Swamp

+1 Soulless One
+1 Noxious Ghoul
+3 Cabal Coffers

Tombstone Stairwell looks pretty sweet, and I'm pretty sure in most cases I would have much of the advantage of creature cards in the graveyard... I'll try it out if I can find it.

I'd drop the Lord of the Undead in favor of the Noxious Ghouls; he's a lord, and does not really care for that Noxious Zombie horde he brings back..
Next to the Stronghold i'd put in some unholy ghetto's; great with the gempalm polluter.
At the moment I have a BG zombie deck with Plaguebearer and Nature's Revolt, a BU zombie deck with Gravespawn Sovereign and Faces of the Past and a BW with Graveborn Muse and Words of Worship.
What can I say? I'm a Graveborn Groupie!

I don't think anyone deleted it - it should still be here in the "archives" somewhere...

Plaguebearer and nature's revolt?! That's just SICK man...

is it primarily a black deck with only silver bullets in green then?

Indeed.. All zombies (nantuko husk is also great with Nature's Revolt) and four Bayou to cast the Nature's Revolt.. Twisted Abomination the seek them out.
Erradicate is in there of course.. and my favorite Bombo of all time: Call to the Grave!

So for the Plaguebearer/Nature's Revolt combo, you can destroy a land for just B?
...That's mean.

And for Eradicate/Nature's Revolt, you can remove all of an opponents lands in play, hand, and library from the game?
...That's messed up.

Your a terrible person.

However, I think I'm going to pass on the Unholy Grotto; I don't want to spread out my mana base anymore to weaken Cabal Coffers, and the only creatures I find worth putting on top of my deck are Undead Warchief and Soulless One. I'd rather put the Gempalms in my hand with Woebearer.
But about Call to the Grave, it'd make a nice replacement for Grave Pact, seeing as how Grave Pact is a badass card and my friend would like them back because I gave him nothing for them...

I am a horrible person, but I rarely play with that deck.. it's just, what else are you going to do with a Plaguebearer? Pay 17 mana to destroy a Verdant Force? It is a great morph killer by the way.. perhaps I could remove green from the deck..

I'd prefer Call to the Grave over Grave Pact, only because Gravepact really is broken in Multi player.. It puts a great big bullseye on your forehead

Yes it is :D

Aaah the good memories....

And now back to the walking dead: does anyone use Grave Defiler? I used to alot, before onslaught block, but now they never seem to make the cut...

It's just to expensive (to cast that is) and Zombies are more about bringing back the dead than looking for reinforcements.. That's why Enlistment Officer is *very* good and the Grave Defiler is *mhe*

Uhh, Limited... you think you can PM me that BG deck? I want to use that combo, but with different creatures...

Oh, Grave Pact makes you a target? TELL me about it. And if you think one is bad, try drawing all three in your initial hand and putting them out consecutively. They'll be gettin whacked faster than a 15-year-old watchin a porno.

That's why I don't play with 'em... People are going to a look at your creatures and then go straight to the dome!

twisted w/ bayous.. damn.. that's awesome!!

Call to the grave is unbelievable in a zombie deck. An Abyss for everyone but you that never goes away?? bombo nothin... that's TECH! :D

I will agree with Limited about the purpose of zombies. One of the main reasons why my zombie deck is so versatile is you have uncounterable lifeloss/ recurring creatures/untargetable destruction. Plus you can completely destroy everything you have, and bring it all back..

I remember one came my opponent kept casting crippling enchantments on my creatures.. I had to sacrifice everything i had, a bit at a time and bring it all back.

So fun :)

without ritual zombies are toast though :( stupid extended.

I'm gonna have to post my zombie deck, see if there are any suggestions you guys could offer. It's good and does well but, im sure i could make it better.

The Bombo is Nature's Revolt with Call to the Grave; means I have to start sacrificing land to the call.. but usually the opponent has no creatures anymore, so soon he'll have no lands either :)

There used to be titania's song in this deck to, to kill all artifact land and than force people to sacrifice artifacts to the Call.. bit situational but fun :)
