I like this deck by Josh Ravitz. I watched him lose to The Finalist, Russ
Harnew, in the NJ States semi-finals, but it's kind of tough to win vs Pikula G/R/w
Fires when you draw only Plains and Blue Spells.....darn color
screw.....tough luck....otherwise.....

Russ was playing that exact same deck a couple of weeks ago at a jss. He made T4 with it. I also made T4, but with fires. Neither one of us qualified :( The deck does do well against fires, the only problem it has is if fires gets an early start, and the fact that fires's sideboard should wreck the deck. It is a pretty solid deck though, and does do good against most decks.

...I see you copied the deck? You know you shouldn't do that, eh? It's bad. :)

Maybe you should add your own twist to it, making it your deck, instead of someone you don't even know, or care about.

...Mars. I don't know if he copied the deck or not, but if he's going to play it, I think he should take my previous advice.

My brother has a g/r fires deck. The only difference between it and the top decks? Lunge instead of rage, and thresher beast instead of burst, both which he's trying to get. My brother has never seen that deck. He built his by himself. It happens, duke.

Actually, DUke, I DO care about Josh, as I do ALL of my fellow New Jersey players, as I do ALL people who play this wonderful yet obscure game of ours.

If you followed the results of the JSS in NYC, you will see that a deck like this did very well. No, I hate to copy decks, I usually play rogue or "casual." I just think this deck is very strong and like to point out TOP DECKS so we're all better able to side/metagame against them, is all. You will see a Millstone deck in Top 8 in Chicago, I think.

OK, back to my very rogue yet fun to play T2 Blue Ponza deck. Thanks for stopping in.

Also, I would NEVER publish a deck unless it were public knowledge, as this one is at http://www.neutralground.net , or unless it was my own concoction. So please explain what's so "bad" about publishing a publically available deck?

Anyway, a deck that's published in no way reflects the changes the player would have made to main or sideboard AFTER playing in a wide-open tourney and format like States. Of course you should tweak a deck, not just to reflect your personal style, which is important, but to reflect the new and PERCIEVED new changes in the metagame.
