Star City Robbed

Looks like Twinkle City got robbed:

If anybody can help them out, please do so. In the meantime, I'll think about how sad that is for them, yet chuckle sadistically. That's what they get for marking up their cards. $200 for a foil 8E birds of paradise? Geez man, that's just asking to get gang-jumped by every thug player out there. I'm surprised Mike Long hasn't come in going "You guys are almost as bad as me" or that Fat Man Hahn hasn't come in, destroying the place with Lemonaide bottle bombs.

They got what was coming to them for being jerks. Hopefully they'll be a little kinder to the people who keep them in business. Still, I hope they catch the crook who took the cards.

No one's forcing anyone to pay those prices. If they were the only place offering those cards, I could see some resentment, but please....

Sounds like an inside job - they'd have to know where the warehouse was, take the time to break into it (meaning advance planning), and know the value of Magic cards.

Yes, Spidey, good point on the pricing. Once again I get to enjoy my shoe. ;)

On the inside job point, I was wondering if that was the case when I read the article. Man, really sad one of their own would do such a thing, but the more you look at it, it does seem like that's the case.

So now I'm gonna blame Knutson, because I don't like his avatar. Send him to lockup and ransac his house, and then if he's clear let him go and go down the line of crappy avatars. ;) :D

Though it could never be Ferrett. He's too cool, even if his new avatar is total dung.

My first question is - how do they know it was quickly and methodically?...

More than an inside job in my opinion...

Regardless of their overpriced singles they don't deserve to be ripped off.

I don't think it was being ripped off... I have a strong feeling it was a big inside job - we should know if there's a sudden flooding on the market - particularly ebay, as to whether or not it was an actual theft...

you don't keep evidence - you get rid of it...

Hmm, more folks agreeing that it seems like an inside job.

Does seem that way, don't it?

Who knows...maybe its a publicity stunt. What if good old Pete H was behind it all along, just to make himself seem like a bastion of goodness by offering the bounty. Would certainly do a ton to restore the site's image after they take so much bashing for "endorsing cheaters!!!"

How dare they let Nick Eisel write...
How dare they let Fat Man write...
How dare they suggest we not burn cheaters at the stake...
How dare they post those stupid Mad Dog Rants...

Yeah, they've caught a lot of flack because of their kind treatment towards all writers.

(NOTE: Not actually saying Pete did it. Just exploring a fun little conspiracy theory here. Still, it DOES smell of inside job. They need to burn Knutson and his stupid avatar at the stake right now!)

I can't say that it was us, and I can't say that it wasn't us.

We've really gotta stop restructuring during this season.

As disgusting as SC's prices are, stealing is worse.

Still, I can't help but think they deserved this, just a little.

As for this being an inside job, I'm reminded of the old saying, "There's no honor among thieves".

There is honor among thieves... Its just forgotten most of the time.

Hows the tourney going Mr. P? I've been revising my decks and think that I should sail in when Dragon Con. cranks up again.

Habuki, stop showing off, you've gotten yourself in enough trouble as it is.

Gooooooood point, man. As much as I may like the editorial side of the SCG website, I am finding it becoming more and more elitist, as well as their store (which has always been a ripoff for singles) getting more and more evil.

Its like Mike Long is running the show over there or something.

Come to think of it, his fat head would make a much better avatar than Knutson's retarded gaze.
