In response I will activate Cursed Scroll, naming Ward of Lights, showing Ward of Lights, targeting the Woebringer Demon; then I will cast Ward of Lights as an instant on the Godhead, giving it protection from Black

Yeah, I had a feeling that I'd need that Ward of Lights at instant speed. Also, the Sage Owl was well timed, as the Cursed Scroll was the fourth card down.
