I'll pay G to regen the Swarm. I'll pay GR to cast Respite (1G Instant, Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt this turn. You gain 1 life for each attacking creature.).

So it seems to me that I gain 4 life then.

And no response to the Spider thing, unfortunately. So I have staved off death temporarily.
