Space Shuttle...

The Space Shuttle Colombia just exploded over Texas. My family watched that very shuttle take off last February.

Did you see or hear it, train? Apparently it was quite a sound and sight.

Just found a piece of the darned thing on the side of the road...

Should we sell it or keep it as a paper weight?

Um...You really should leave it where it is and tell them. There will be enough pieces walking off already to make their investigation tricky. :D

Unauthorized contact with wreckage is illegal.

Cordon it off and phone it in.

The fact that you'd even for a moment consider seeking profit from a piece of government property that is related to the deaths of seven people who risked, and lost, their lives in an effort to someday advance the human race sickens my soul.

Sickens your soul, but fills your pockets.

Personally, Id keep it for myself as something to hand down to generations. Mega-cool bit of junk.

Yeah, a mega-cool bit of junk that could be radioactive or be covered in deadly toxic Space Shuttle fuel. Otherwise, yes, very cool. :p

Hey, theres always a price for being cool. Although the piece would actually not have anything on it.

Damn. That's a bugger.

At least it LOOKED good coming down...

I'd say, unless it was an identifiable piece of junk like a burnt cockpit chair or something, it's just raw materials... better to turn it in unless you plan to make a "magical" (read: radioactive) sword or something out of it...

This is just my whacko artificer opinion... you may now return to your regularly scheduled post.

Of course, saving it for future generations might be a very long future. To my knowledge, unauthorized possession of moon rocks is still a crime and it's been what, 30 years? That's at least one generation...

Ha ha

Guy in Texas had a piece of the shuttle and tried to sell it on Ebay...

He is now in jail for it.

not me... Someone stole it from me before I could post it...

But even if I was close enough to obtain a piece I'd probably pull out the old play mat and play a game of Magic until the authorities arrived...
