It looks like another classic case of a parent getting a little too much into their kids and sports. It's like those cases I've heard of when parents would beat up kids that were beating their kids in soccer...

...lots of them see their kids w/ talent as potential cash cows so that they don't have to break down and get real jobs...

How reputable is this "Globe and Mail" website? Is it the area's local paper or something?

If so, I pretty much agree with Mazzak's comments... that's life <shrug>

You know, I never actually thought about how reputable this site was. It looks like it could be a local paper or something like that. Besides, I've learned to expect the craziest things from the human race.

Oh, I agree. This ranks up there with that guy suing McDonald's because they didn't prevent him from eating there and gaining all of this weight :rolleyes:

Or the guy suing the casinos because they knew he was a compulsive gambler yet didn't stop him.
