Has anybody ever seen this movie? I don't know when it came out or anything, but a friend I met here in college told me I had to see it, and so we chilled in his room tonight and watched it.

I'm not sure what to think.

The movie was very funny, and very good--well-done all around. But man, as someone that really likes punk music and such, even if my lifestyle is nothing like the characters'... it's depressing. :(

Thoughts?

Just a social commentary movie on anarchism in the punk genre.

I liked the first half or so of the movie. The dude with the drugs absorbed into his legs was hella funny!

I liked it. Of course, I'm a big Matthe Lillard fan...the first time I watched it was hanging w/ an actual punker and we had a good time watching it. Evidentaly, in Salt Lake City, people are really like that...

Came out in '99. I liked it. Keep in mind it's a social commentary from a punk perspective in the mid-80's. It has a classic theme of rebelling against "the system" and gives the main character a foil who suffers the consequences of rebelling without a cause. I can see why you found that depressing.

It kind of reminded me of an Americanized version of "Trainspotting"...

Whoa, whoa, whoa! I never said it was better - I just said that it was like an American version of it. Trainspotting is still one of the coolest movies I've seen...
