Okay, just to keep things clean, let's start a new thread. Keep in mind that the game is much more interesting if everyone posts semi-regularly. I suggest we drag it out a few days per "day" so that everyone has a chance to post. We could even do once-a-week if necessary, but please keep in mind that everyone should try to interact a couple of times to make the decisions more than just "well, so-and-so hasn't said anything, let's get rid of them".

Also, I think last time, votes on who to kick off were sealed. I think part of the game is the fact that they are made public.

I'm getting ahead of myself. Please use this thread to see how many people are interested. I think we need at least 8 people besides myself.

I'm interested... I just need to refresh myself on what exactly I'm interested in... :D Having never actually been a werewolf... or even known one... I believe the fringe benefits don't actually outweigh that whole vulnerability to Silver... Bark at the moon thing.... etc.

so, in essence one of us is a werewolf and it is the job of the rest of us to determine who it is and try to eliminate them?

Spidey - Given the holliday season, I propose that we leave this thread here and start the first of the year. That will hopefully give us enough time to get the players anyway. I know it's a while to wait, but I think it will be worth it in the long run.

BigBlue - There is another thread that was recently brought back. Near the end of that thread, I give a fairly detailed description of how the game works. Who is what is randomly determined at the beginning of the game by the moderator.

I would like to play too, when things (hopefully) get rolling in the new year. On a side note, when I learned this game, we called it Mafia, and the killers were Mafia rather than Werewolves, also, in addition to the Seer, (Sheriff), if there are enough people, you can have a doctor, who randomly chooses someone to save, if he or she happens to pick the person that gets killed, instead the doctor shows up in the knick of time and saves them.

This is a Magic board.

Werewolves are more flavorful, and a rural village has better potential for grusome morning descriptions. "You wake up, and XXE is smeared to his door by gunfire" several nights in a row, or "XXE is Gone. Nobody knows where he is, but the fish are good this week."

Grusome Werewolf descriptions are easier for Fantasy fans. "Melkor has been treed during the night. At least, his head has been."
