The movie as a movie, of the comedic variety, is excellent.
The potrail of an Ogre as a green George Forman who faught Mike Tyson twice(hence the funnels for ears) BEGS for redesign. If they were more pointy than round, like those Pitcher plants, it would have been better...
The humour was on the level of a watered down Austin Powers(PG-ised) and it was very well done. Adults will get the jokes that kids don't, and most of the ones that kids do.
The animation is SHOCKING! It's the best done computer animation I've EVER seen. EVER. It's a good movie. I highly recommend it.

The Mummy Returns was HILARIOUS. 
They knew it was overdone, and took it even further. Totally hilarious. Not bad, just hilariously overdone.
Shrek... Was fantasic. I took my wonderful girlfriend to it, and we were laughing our heads off the whole way through. I will admit to some frustration at a few of the designs (Shrek's ears are just BAD, and Farquad's castle is WAY to square), but the lighting was absolutely brilliant - The colors, shadows, and reflections were dead on perfect. the dragon had some of the COOLEST lighting effects ever in an animated film. Think Toy Story, shot through the roof and with better music. There are some... Uh... Adult jokes. One is rather obscure:
*minor spoiler (won't wreck anything except a joke, and probably won't wreck that either)*
The main bad guy is Lord Farquar. His name is French, so you can see how it should be pronounced. Now, try pronouncing it in an American accent. It sounds a bit like Fakquad. That's how all the characters in the movie pronouce it. Now, say Fakquad REALLY fast, over and over again.

Went to see it today... great movie. I don't know about the ears, but it doesn't really matter... everybody should go see it.

The movie was incredibly good. It wasn't spectacular from a story standpoint, but I'd see it again just for the ending. Rock on, dwarves!

Unfortunately, even for the character, I thought Murphy talked just a BIT too much. I mean, yes, he's supposed to gibber, but just a BIT more than needed.

And it's hilarious. I too liked the singing bird scene, and the Parfait scene was good too. I'm not sure what was my favorite, though.
