The Tentacled One
This is a dumb deck that tries to use Shared Fate to play other players' decks because I'm a dork. That's all.

The Tentacled One
I decided that my focus for EDH decks in 2025 was going to be to complete my Legends legends project. Well, I'll say it here first: that's probably not going to happen within the calendar year, although I am determined to get through it eventually.

I've been playing more limited formats and stepping away from EDH a bit. I've also had life get in the way of building new decks on my usual schedule. Couple that with the fact that I've been enjoying playing some decks more over longer periods of time and, well, here we are. I posted this decklist almost a month ago, but I didn't actually get to play the deck in a game until last night. And that's been my only EDH game in the past few weeks. Oh well.

Anyway, this deck was a bit of a troll build, but its only showing thus far has was amazing. One of my opponents was playing a Zur the Enchanter deck built around the goal of ticking up Obscura Ascendancy just beat everyone down with oversized flying spirits. Another opponent was playing a Kykar, Wind's Fury deck meant to win the game with Luck Bobblehead. I was playing this garbage pile. And the final player was playing a real deck, tribal dragons helmed by Ureni of the Unwritten. As he started building a dominant board state, the rest of us struggled to protect ourselves. I set up some defensive measures, drew some cards, and then dropped the other shoe: hitting the unwitting table with Shared Fate.

Following the Shared Fate was two hours of insanity. No one's decks functioned as originally intended and no one could kill anyone else, despite spells flying left and right. It was glorious. My opponents were cracking up. The greatest moment was probably when the Zur player managed to get Lich's Mastery from his own graveyard and then used my Beacon of Immortality to try and steal my entire library. I was able to rob him of that with Thought Lash, but he eventually found a line that, with everyone's libraries fully depleted, let him finally hit my Shared Fate with a removal spell, decking me.
