Science Fiction Book Club

Would anyone be interested in joining a pretty nice book club?

Y'get something like five hard cover books for a small price, and buy three or four more in the next year at prices like $15 or so for most of 'em, but the price ranges from $10 to $20. I think I've talked to some of ya'll about it before online... but so it goes.

Why am I simi-spamming this place with the offer?

Well, I just recieved a little thing that says I can get two free books when I get someone to join up... all I need is their "information," and I send it to the SFBC. If they join, I get two books I choose.

Anyone interested?

Hell, anyone a big reader of science fiction or fantasy that doesn't like spending $12 on friggin' softcovers of stuff like Battlefield Earth or $35 on friggin' Harry Friggin' Potter 5? Alright, so they havn't got HP5 yet, but they've got several good deals on omnibuses, and all of the most recent Discworld books, as well as a couple Discworld omnibuses that collect three or four books together for $15 in hardcover...
I've been a member since I was fourteen, and it's pretty trustworthy; if anything screws up, a five minute long distance call can get a LOT of things settled pretty quickly, like if books get lost in the mail or are damaged and need to be returned or replaced.

Wow. I wrote more actually sticking up for it than begging people to join... Odd...

Anyway, if you want to take a look, go to www.sfbc.com -- and if you want to help me out and get however many books for whatever their offer is and get me Nanny Ogg's Cookbook and Monsterous Regement and e-mail me at theorgg@hotmail.com

Please, take a look around their website if you're a big spender on books. It's much easier than going to the bookstore twice (once to order, once to pick up) for a hardcover that costs half an arm and a foot. Or picking up Potter Five at a grocery store only to wait an hour and a half before they tell you it isn't in their systems anymore, and they don't know the price. THEN they call the manager, and fourty minutes later she comes down to the store to check, finds out it's taken two hours for two three letres of coke, bread, and a pack of cheese, and gives it to you for free; Mise, but unreliable... ;)

Umm.. yea.

If you need any recommendations to fill out your *checks site* Five books for a dollar, plus shipping and probably four books in the next year, e-mail me at theorgg@hotmail.com

If you would LIKE to try it out, e-mail me at theorgg@hotmail.com

If ya'll think this is in bad taste, sorry, I don't think they carry that one. They do have Anime every couple of months, though...

Nobody wants to even comment?

That's kinda odd... Even misetings left scarring and sarcastic remarks at the end of it. A few even said something about the club itself, but that'll remain unsaid...

I'm already part of a great little book club: My best friend's parents are retired librarians and they have literally hundreds of Sci Fi and Fantasy books...it's been ages since I bought a book...

I get the occasional offer in the mail. I like paperback better and I don't really read all the much nowadays anyway, unfortunately... :(
