Reject Rare Draft

lots of crappy cards.... I'm not sure how much fun that is, especially since R&D is involved and might be tempted to make even more crappy cards for the crappy card draft...

Although I guess it won't affect me much since I'm done buying...

Hey, there were some good cards in there! :)

I don't think the existence of this type of draft is going to cause them to make bad/generally unusable cards on purpose. It's just there to take advantage of those already made and get some use of them :)

Exactly. The point was that they could donate any rare that was actually designated as a rare (no U1's). If someone wanted to donate Wrath of God to the mix, there was nothing preventing them from doing so. The point was that they ended up donating cards that they didn't need and that they really couldn't trade away, either.

Right. And if it's a constant thing, you can always donate the crappy rares that you got the last time (and hey, if you're donating crappy rares to begin with, you're really not losing anything by getting bad ones back. If you donated good ones, well, you're probably out of luck. Unless there's an agreement beforehand to donate at least x amount of "good" rares :) )

We did one of these in Atlanta at the... Plainshift(?) Pre Relese? No, I think it was the Apocalypse PR. However, we submitted fifty each, the packs wern't that balanced, color-wise, and we just did a big chaos game afterwards, in which I had to leave before the game got good.

'twas pretty fun. The winner got the extras not drafted, so there was basically a 5-rare entrence fee, w/ small prize to the winner to actually pick out what he wanted from the pile.

what an odd idea... extremely rare if you ask me :D

But why not? As long as I can use any rare its a good idea, I guess.
