I was thinking of a deck like this. But instead of medalions, go with Dark Ritual. No Living Death. Ignore mythosx and make that four copies of Coat. Yes, coat is certainly good in this deck. And as far as Coffers go--dump them fast, and replace them with swamps or the depletion lands from Mercadian Masques (the black version of Hickory Woodlot).

Deathmaster, your revised decklist looks pretty dang solid there. That's about what I had in mind, except I was unsure of the rat count.

Mass removal and Worship will be likely foils in casual games, so if you fit in a few metagamery cards in there, you should have it down. Though, they'd only be needed if your group uses Wrath of God or Worship or the like. You may also need to pack some of your own removal in the event of an unsavory flier outgunning your assault.

wow :eek: , im not getting it here, i thought you were only allowed to have 4 of one copy of a card in a deck and you have 23! and relentless rats dont even exist!!! i looked them up on starcity.com and nothing came up!! some one fill me in here please.

Relentless rats was a card they previewed for fifth dawn, it read something like
Relentless 1BB
relentless rats gets +1+1 for each other relentless rats in play
any number of relentless rats may be in a deck

decree of pain, twilights call...good combo that can be pulled off pretty fast with the help of the coffers.

extremely good combo...

coffers are good in that they require only colorless mana to activate, and with 3 swamps and a coffers- you're already in the bonus... so I cna see this coming along well...

but you need some sort of draw method to keep your hand full... any other draw benefits or tutor cards might work wonders...

Thats where Desparate Research comes into play. Usually you get 3-5 rats with it.
