Question for DÛke...

First, I apologize if I used the wrong type of U, but I think that is right.

My question is...
I was planning on either:
A) Arranging "One Winged Angel" from FF7 and possibly having it performed/recorded. Who do I need to contact and what legal forms should be filled out?

B) Composing a piece and borrowing the lyrics from "One Winged Angel" and possibly having it performed/recorded. Same question as in A.

If you don't know, can you possibly help point me to a website(s) that may have the answer?

Thanks a million!

Well, Nobuo Uematsu wrote all - or almost all - the music in FF7, so you could try contacting him... But I heard somewhere that some of One-Winged Angel was taken from something Carl Orff did... I'm not sure. Maybe try squaresoft.com...

Hey you...

I'm sorry, but I've been so busy...

One Winged Angel: uh, never heard that track. If TICM is right, and that it contains some things by Carl Orff (probably Carmina Burana), than it's gonna be harder.

Try MP3.Com, I don't have the exact link, but I saw somewhere that they offer you a website so you can obtain rights for your music. It takes some money. I don't think you NEED to do any of this stuff unless you're planning to actually perform it FOR money and/or SELL the track for money. Otherwise, you can just do it without any stuff, and still be legal. You only need to obtain permissions/rights if you're gonna make ANY money using an artist(s) work(s). Anyway, try MP3.Com, and also try the record label that has control over the Carmina Burana and One Winged Angel...

I would get you specific details, but I'm way out of time already. Sorry.
