Sorry people, I just got an email from Hypermart saying I'm 3 megs over quota. I gotta start purging messages.

Sorry..

Actually, I'm confused now. In the email I got it said I was 3500 kilobytes over quota. When I check the account space usage utility they provide, I'm about 3500 kilobytes UNDER quota! No purging until the support team tells me which is true.

Well, apparently the over quota message was a mistake. They have already apologized for it, so I'm not gonna delete any messages (yet).

Well, that's good to hear. Question: based on the average size of a message how many more posts can we fit in here? As soon as the site is up, it's going to start filling up pretty fast...

Well, I'm not really sure how many more messages we can get. There really isn't an average message size. I mean, the "website options" thread is over 100 K (.1 megs), but there are some threads that are only about 5 K. But just going from how it is currently, I'd say about 50 more *threads*. Not replies, new threads. Not sure though. (We'll have much more space with TMOB. Right now, its 10 megs. We'll have 200 or so with TMOB)

Now that I think about it, that was a very wrong estimate. I think it is probably more like 500 posts (replies included). There could have been about 50 more threads in this forum and some more in others.
