The Mana Drain and find a killer deck which tickles your fancy. There’re some seriously degenerate stuff here..many premier Type 1 players frequent the forums and post decks...you might not want to post though...they're rather elitist.
Then meander on to
Essential Magic use their excellent proxy tool and go nuts proxying whatever 300 dollar cards your deck requires.
Spend an hour cutting and placing your deck within sleeves.
Use your new found Powha to stomp your "buddies" guts out. Afterwards comment on how great proxies are since your decks are no longer hindered by actually owning the cards. If he adjusts his deck simply rinse/wash repeat the cycle until he gets the picture.
I have a feeling getting a taste of his own medicine will cure what ails him.
P.S. My Fav is Masknaught...nothing like a 1st turn 12/12 trample artifact creature...or if you just want to bore the hell out him go for Academy...it's gooed.
