If you had to choose one, which would it be:

Japanese for me...

Japanese. Who needs to cook when raw fish is so delicious?

But Chinese food is fantastic. A year and a half ago when I went to China I was absolutely loving the food. And it was dirt cheap.

I kind of want to choose both. I suppose Chinese. From what I hear, a lot of the Japanese cuisine that I like is originally Chinese anyway or is also considered Chinese to some extent or something...

Chinese. Aside from my aversion to raw fish, not sure I have ever even tried anything Japanese (other than Saki, which I do not care for).

They are similar, but whether in fast-food style, or traditional dining, there is more "fried" in Chinese food than in Japanese for all the restaurants and food I have seen.

i actually recall hearing it had to do with the geography difference and the people on the mainland using more of the animal fats to fry their foods, where as the Japanese were more sea-oriented and used much less frying for their foods.
