Would that work for infinite mana?

Yes this works. Faced off against a Kiki jiki-intruder alarum. Deck with this in it. You could brand. But why?

...what do you Brand for? Your opponent hasn't taken control of anything you own, as far as I know...unless you're counting the 1/1s made by the Orchard.

Are you sure you count as owning those?

Yes, you own the Forbidden Orchard tokens. Tokens are owned by the player who controlled the effect that created them.

I liked Branding thw Survivor tokens from my Varchild's War-Riders. (Of course, I liked Tremoring/Pyroclasming them even more, but I'm evil that way...)

Eh... I don't like Brand all that much because you may gain control of all your cards in one blow. It's an instant and thusly used once and then it's gone.



I like Mr. Aether Flash much better in this sense as you can just chuck out your flash, and then you'll both smoke the little 1/1 critters being thrown out there, but also anything 0/2 or smaller your opponent decides to throw out there.



Okay... so you can't play anything that small either and your creatures still get burned a little... but isnt' it a fair trade?

Elephant Resurgence + brand is nasty too.

Especially if you fill your graveyard with a lot of creatures.

A friend of mine has a deck with it and it works really nice

I got a playset of Varchil'd War-Riders expressively to build an MP deck around (but no brand; I was going to go with Pestilence at the time) but still haven't done it... boo on me

Maybe Urza's Armor in there and then use evil stuff like Pestilence AND Manabarbs...

My favorite use of Brand would be with Mogg Infestation.

Also, the Orchard works nicely with things like Oath of Druids and Defense of the Heart.

Not a bad combo... you could use something defensively - like caltrops to manage the infinite critters...
