The concern I have with this format is that there isn't any reciprocation. With a normal draft, there isn't a lot (2nd pack out of 3 goes back the other way), but you don't know for sure what everyone is drafting. With a rochester draft, each pack goes both directions, so there is just as much going left as there is going right. With this, all picks are open, but there isn't any reciprocation, so it's really easy to simply get into the color that the person after you is drafting and it basically hurts them without damaging you at all...
That was my point Mooseman when you took the Helionaut. I'm not saying that you shouldn't draft white, just that right now, the two people drafting white were me and train. Train goes before you, so I'm not sure why you want to compete, but I get cut. Realistically, I'm not sure I understand what strategically is the best way to play this sort of draft. I've got a strong white commitment, so I probably stay there anyway and hope to have more points when key cards come up, but just as the nature of the draft, my best options going forward are probably to look for what Melkor or Spiderman are going for and to cut them the same way.
Has anyone here done a points draft before? I'm interested to know is this is a fairly typical pattern...
