I have decided to try my hand at FNM. There are several places in my area that hold them and I need my fix of Magic. I have always loved WW but it lacked something to give it the edge since it lost Armageddon. I think Hokori, Dust Drinker could be a suitable replacement and came up with this deck. ANY suggestions/critiques are welcome as I check this site every day. If anyone could recommend another site to see what's happening in type 2 other than $taroinkygames (greedy bastards) would be appreciated. Thanks.

WW'05

Plains x21
Chrome Mox

Bonesplitter x3
Isamaru, Hound of Konda x3
Aether Vial x2
Reciprocate x2
Suntail Hawk x3
Devoted Retainer x2
Savannah Lions x4
Pacifism x2
Samurai of the Pale Curtain x2
Auriolk Champion (would be 4 if I had them)
Leonin Skyhunter x3
Ghostly Prison x3
Glorious Anthem x3
Hokori, Dust Drinker x3
Serra Angel x2
Yosei, the Morning Star

I hear a lot of good things about White Weenie and Sword of Fire and Ice. Kitsune Blademaster is also unexpectedly good for a three drop, and if you think about it, Nagao, Bound by Honor is a 4/4 with Bushido 1 when attacking.

Hokori, Dust Drinker + Hinder would be essentailly bringing back the old Winter Orb + Memory Lapse deck called "Forgotton Orb"

You make a fast weenie deck, like the one you listed but splash blue for Hinder.
You put pressure on your opponent by laying down turn 1 & 2 creatures and then when your opponent is about to hose you with a Wrath of God or something you Hinder it, next turn you play Hokori, Dust Drinker (but not before you play the debilitating "Hinder" on your opponent). His next turn he's screwed. :D

Or, see what kind of decks are wrecking in your environment and either make a deck similar to that type or one that is against that type. If you just wanna 'have fun' then maybe my Forgotton Orb idea might be for you.

an idea only:

Forgotton Orb 2K5
4 Hokori, Dust Drinker
4 Hinder
4 Savannah Lions
4 Suntail Hawk
4 Auriolk Champion (when you get them :))
4 1cc {W} creature
4 1cc {W} creature
4 2cc {1W} creture
4 Holy Day
4 Glorious Anthem

12 Plains
4 Mirrodin's Core
4 Tendo Ice Bridge
Card text: Tendo Ice Bridge comes into play with a charge counter on it.
Tap: Add 1 to your mana pool.
Tap, Remove a charge counter from Tendo's Ice Bridge: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool.

Color to taste ;)

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not really a control player (is that a Johnny?) but more beat down. I want to play a horde of fast flying weenies, pump them (Glorious Anthem and Bonesplitter) and turn 'em sideways. If they play a flying blocker, pacify it and drop a Hokori to stunt their mana. Most of my spells cost 1-2 so Hokori shouldn't hurt me. Serra and Yosei are there to go the distance.

What would y'all suggest for Equipment that's cheap and worthwhile?

Also, any suggestions for websites and a board? (I want base the board on decks I might face.)

A White Weenie aggro Hokori base might look something like this:

3 Hokori, Dust Drinker +....

1 Eiganjo Castle
x Blinkmoth Nexus
x Plains
x Chrome Mox

x Savannah Lions
x Glorious Anthem
x Raise the Alarm
x Suntail Hawk
x Lantern Kami
x Leonin Skyhunter
x Umezawa's Jitte &/or Bonesplitter's
x Isamaru, Hound of Konda
x Samurai of the Pale Curtain

This is just an opinion. I have no play-test results to back it up but this is where I'd start.

Hope it helps,

:)

Depending on how your deck runs, I've had a lot of success with Empyrial Armor. If you have a deck than never plays a fifth land, and holds cards in its hand, that card can be devastating. Sword of Fire and Ice costs 3 to play and 2 to equip, but it is definitely worth it. Another cheap but effective equipment is Grafted Wargear, 3 to play but 0 to equip.

Also, for a white weenie deck, give a lot of thought to playing Razor Golem. It's basically a 3/4 Vigilance for 3 mana, though it still can be killed by artifact hate.

A few thoughts: More Aether Vial. Aether Vial makes creatures better. Usomethinga's Jitte. Two or three Jitte is a good number; the Jitte can single handedly win you games you couldn't win otherwise... but it's legendary. (all considered, that's not a huge tradeoff... you just have to be more careful.)

Also, White Weenie is OFFENSIVE. There's two different 1/1 flyers for W; use four of each of them-- the hawk and the spirit.

Also also wik*, White Weenie is an OFFENSIVE deck. You don't WANT to have things like Ghostly Prison, Reciprocate(though Pacifism isn't too bad), Auriok Champion, Hikori; Dust Drinker, or Yosei. A lone Serra Angel as a finisher MIGHT work, but I'd drop the OINK, myself. Up the Anthems to four, and then some Raise the Alarms become really amazing; cast at the end of your opponent's turn, it gives you two 1/1 creatues that can attack when your turn rolls around.

One last thing. Samurai of the Pale Curtain is a four-of. It's abilities are really good.

*Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference, please forgive me for it
