Planeshift's Terminate Article Sideboard

WotC's strategy is working. I now splash green in my burn deck not just for enchantment removal, but for the chance of playing Battery if necessary. With Terminate, I'll probably get some black going in the mix. Multicolor is irresistible.

And better yet...if you read closely, Terminate is common.

No, not uncommon. COMMON.

Dear god.

I can't wait to get a ton of these in draft at the Prerelease. A first pick removal if I've ever seen one.

Wizards has successfully gotten us talking about Multicolor decks again. Scary.

Yeah, Terminate should be a real bomb in draft. Hell, it's a great card in type 2 and all of the fun red/black decks. The fact that its a common is awesome. Right now, I'd say that so far, this is my favourite card in planeshift.

I could say I told ya so, but that would be pathetic. Therefore, someone else can say it for me if they want ;)

Another bit for everyone:

Nightscape Familiar - 1B
Creature – Zombie; 1/1
Common
Blue spells and red spells you play cost 1 less to play.
1B: Regenerate Nightscape Familiar.

That's Nightscape Familiar? Sounds great!

I like the allied colors benefits in general.

I'm going to be using tri-color decks a lot I see.

YES!!!

Nightskape Familiar cancels out the bad effects of Blue and Red Leeches ;) (not really, it gives you colorless mana, but still)

TERMINATE IS BEAUTIFUL!

I've got to get me a box or two of planeshift...

Most importantly, R/B now has an easy way to deal with Chimeric Idol. Sure, you could Rhystic Lightning it (suboptimal in many cases) or Urza's Rage it (pricey as all hell), but Terminate is an inexpensive answer that's optimal across the board.

I dunno. Seal fo doom, Vendetta, snuff out. Remind me again, isty, what COULDN'T deal with the idol besides a terror?

Terminate is FRIGGIN FANTASTIC! I'm getting me 8 of these!

Seal of Doom: To do any good, must already be in play, and opponent can play around it. Otherwise, it's a sorcery at best, and only after combat is over.

Vendetta: Costs B and 3 life.

Snuff Out: Costs 3B or 4 life.

...

Terminate: RB

This is pretty good. ;)

Isn't there also an RG Erase in the set? Hull Breach for 1 of each color?

Destroy target artifact and/or enchantment.

Yes, that's a better Disenchant.

Cavern Harpy looks pretty pathetic. BU for a 2/1 flyer, and you have to return a blue or black creature to your hand? I don't see anything that would make it useful. :(

I think Hull Breach is awesome!
Reason #1: I half hate, half love Fires. This card is going to make the deck much better, even if that's after sideboarding.
Reason #2: Enchantment and Artifact - 2 birds with one stone.
Reason #3: Enchantment or Artifact - First time I saw this I thought - "screw that, enchatment AND artifact? But now that the little two letter word made itself into the text, Im happy. Finally a way for all those casual Red/Green decks to deal with enchatments without friggin' Tranquility.
Reason #4: Instant. FIrst time I saw this, it also said Sorcery. Man was I pissed. Artifact AND Enchantment, AND its a sorcery? Instant's more like it. Dammit.
